PAS spiritual leader Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat’s health is reportedly stable. – The Malaysian Insider pic, January 23, 2015.The health of PAS spiritual leader Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, who is currently warded at a hospital in Kota Baru, is reported to be stable.His son, Nik Mohamad Abduh, said his father reacted more positively today, had more energy and increased sodium levels.He said there was no need for his father to be placed in a normal ward as treatment in the intensive care unit was the best."His treatment and development is monitored closely there. We don't know when he will be discharged, but it's important that he gets the proper treatment and enough rest," he told reporters when met at the Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital in Kubang Kerian today.He said his father had also been informed about the passing of Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah Abdul Aziz and responded by asking questions about the king's death.Meanwhile, PAS deputy spiritual leader Datuk Dr Haron Din said Nik Aziz could still remember him despite being ill."I was also told that he was taken off respiratory support," he told reporters after spending 15 minutes visiting Nik Aziz.The PAS spiritual leader, who is also suffering from prostate cancer, was admitted last Monday after his health deteriorated during the recent floods.Nik Aziz, 84, also held the post of Kelantan menteri besar from 1990 to 2013. – January 2015.
